I have stayed at multiple Hotel Indigo properties and have enjoyed each location’s charm and elegance. Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown is no different. Hotel Indigo properties are known for its local-inspired design and therefore, no Hotel Indigo looks the same. I love this specifically because you get the local flare and feel like you are in the town that you are in. Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown was once a place for bootleggers to gather back in the early 1900s and the décor around the property gives a nod to this fact as well. You definitely need to add Hotel Indigo properties to your gameday weekend stay! Here’s how to make your gameday weekend relaxing with Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown.

Spacious Rooms to Relax After Gameday

The front lobby is an absolute dream. You walk in from the street and are greeted with modern and sleek décor that instantly gives your elevated elegance. There is plenty of space and tables to sit and relax. I would sit in the lobby and have coffee in the mornings. Brat Tip: the snack bar is dangerous! Every night I was grabbing a pack of hot tamales and Twizzlers and I was content from the heat. You can also grab items like mini bottles of wine, drinks, and locally sourced snacks which I loved too! This makes for a nice snack to end the day.

Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown has areas around the property that you can make use of as an office space. The seven-story atrium near the elevators is equipped with a shuffleboard table and lounge that you can either use as a quiet space to get work done or relax with your family for a little bit.

I loved my little retreat at the Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown. Just a disclaimer, I had a King room, so I can’t speak to the double rooms. The size of the King room was fantastic and really gave you that feeling as if it were your home away from home. I loved being able to walk in, drop anything I had at the door and head over to lounge in the bedroom. The bathroom is also spacious, which I feel I do really get to say very often. Can I have a moment to love on the bathroom? It was luxurious! And the rain shower head had me ready to change out the hardware in my shower.

I frequently would have to retreat back to my room to get some work done and definitely made use of the desk in the bedroom area. Check out my reel on Instagram for a full room tour. The rooms aren’t too small and definitely gives you space to move about.

Fitness Center

We all know about my on-the-road pregame routine of getting a quick hotel workout in before heading out to the festivities. At the Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown, the fitness center has everything you need from free weights, bike, treadmill and more. There is also ample floor area if you just want a space to stretch and/or do yoga. I was able to get a quick workout in and get my day started on the right foot. I mean, we gotta offset that game day food somehow, right?

Friendly Staff

Every morning I had a new question. What’s good to eat, what’s the easiest way to get to XYZ. The staff at Hotel Indigo is always willing to offer up suggestions, from where to get the best pizza, and general information. Don’t be afraid to ask them for any suggestions. They more than likely have a bunch of recommendations.

Convenience and Accessibility

Located right in downtown, Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown has such great accessibility to restaurants and entertainment. For example, it was routine for me to walk to and from Omaha Baseball Village and Charles Schwab during the Men’s College World Series. There’s a local coffee shop located right next door that I can’t recommend anymore. I was there every morning before going out into the heat.

Gameday weekends can be fast paced and exhausting. Hotel Indigo Omaha Downtown gives you the space you need to relax, cool off from the summer heat, and, enjoy time to yourself.
