Okay, time to get real with myself.

Okay so I’ve been going a little HAM lately. Do we still say HAM in reference to crazy? Yes? Okay, good. I need to take a step back and chill on the crazy spending I’ve been doing. For a while, I wad pretty good at making my coffee at home, prepping my meals Anna watching where my money went. I feel as though the new year came and my credit card went. It’s like my wrist hadn’t been swiping, and now it’s built up muscle to swipe at its leisure. So I’m imposing a 6 week spending moratorium. In all honesty, it’s in my best interest.

Necessities Only

While I’m on this spending freeze, I will only be purchasing the necessities. Groceries and anything that comes up that is important. No new clothes, makeup (I just placed my Sephora order, so that doesn’t count!) anything like that is allowed. No unnecessary stops to fast food drive through or anything like that. I REALLY need to stop that as well. There is one thing I will be spending on and that is Fit Pro Meals. I have been wanting to try them out for a week or two and see how I like it. Just to see if that is something I may start utilizing once a month for when things get crazy during the school year. More on that later.

Travel Expenses

I am traveling a lot this summer. As you may previously know as a blogger and content creator, occasionally, my hotels, etc are sponsored. More than most time my sports travel comes out of my own pocket and I need to save up for a the shenanigans I already have planned for this summer AND fall. Yes, yes, y’all – football plans are already underway. You have NO clue what’s ahead. I honestly wish we could fast forward to September through November cause it’s LIT. I haven’t completely finished that itinerary since NFL schedule has not been released but there are three new NFL stadiums, two new college stadiums and a couple of favorites on the list. But I digress. Travel expenses this summer and fall are stacking up and I need to prepare for that.

So Why?

I talk all the time how I need to purge my closet, create a minimal and multifunctional closet, and I know some of you have seen me clean my closet several times on iG stories. This is not about the closet getting overrun, this is more about saving money and purging unnecessary excess that I keep adding in. It’s a crazy cycle I have noticed. I’ll purge my closet and immediately fill it back up with things that I don’t really need; they’re just pretty. This is about reducing that cycle. I’m also interested to see how much money I save in the process. I will keep you posted on how it goes throughout the 6 weeks and have a full breakdown once it ends. What do you think? Do you think it will be easy? Have you done something like this before? Are you currently on some sort of spending freeze yourself? Let me know in the comments!
