I quit the gym over a year ago (read why here), and in the process I have incorporated home workouts that I have loved and find myself going back to. Here are three home (or gym) programs you can incorporate into your routine if you are not a fan of the gym, or prefer the home workout. These are listed in now particular order.

My original favorite home workout was BBG!

Kayla Itsines BBG

The 28-minute workout that I fell in love with years ago. If I remember correctly, I first tried BBG in 2017. I would do the workouts in the comfort of my own home, and be done is 28 minutes. That was my favorite part. I didn’t have to spend over an hour getting an entire effective workout in. When I quit the gym in 2019, this is what I went back to, in addition to occasional sessions with my trainer. You can find Kayla Itsines and all of her guides and more trainers with various programs in the SWEAT app for 19.99/month or 119.94/year. Its definitely worth the price!

Alexia Clark

Another app with a gym and home workout option, in addition to 30 and 60 minute workouts! This is the app I have been using for the last 6 months or so. Alexia Clarke’s program is definitely for the workout enthusiast and offers modified exercises and video of each movement. The must have for home workouts!

I love my Peloton. I love it. I love it. I love it. It’s more than a bike. That’s it. That’s all I have to say. But really, if you want to know about my first month with my Peloton, click here. I will be the thousandth person that tells you the Peloton bike and tread are where it’s at for home workouts. I don’t own a tread, so I do the outdoor run classes when I am in the running mood. Some of my favorite instructors include Emma Lovewell, Tunde Oyeneyin, Cody Rigsby, Ally Love and basically anyone with a bomb ass playlist. Let’s be real, the playlist makes the workout.
