This year was not the perfect vision we had all hoped for, dreamed of, and expected when the clock struck midnight on January 1, 2020. In a year full of unfortunate events – literally – I’m giving thanks for the few good things that have come out of this year.

The Sports Brat

This is the most obvious thing I could be thankful for. This platform has afforded me so many opportunities over the last couple of years since I took over. With every project comes its peaks and valleys, and TSB is no exception. Every day I learn something new from not just you but from myself. I know, that sounds strange but it’s true. I have also learned more about myself than ever with TSB and what I will allow myself to do when it comes to business. I am not the normal blogger. I don’t push out gift guides (hahah, except for this year) and endless content like the majority – because to be honest, I don’t have time for that. I like to provide you with the content you want and take you on my sports adventures, when I get the opportunity to travel, cook, whatever it may be. 2020 has brought a lot of rough patches but the one constant that has Brough joy, is TSB and for that I’m grateful.

Health

Health is also a no-brainer. This year has been filled with unknowns. There was a time one early spring where one sneeze had me freaking out thinking I had COVID, and staying up all night reading symptoms and horror stories that left me delirious and paranoid. So far, so good in my family. No one has had COVID, although the jury is still out on what my mom had in December when we were in New York. Will we ever know? Who know but we are still being diligent and working to keep ourselves and others healthy.

Family and Friends

I wouldn’t be able to function without my family and friends. The same crew that humors me when I have an idea and then laughs at me when I fail miserably. That’s my crew and I wouldn’t trade them in for anything. That includes Willie, the pup that gives the most attitude and ignores me half the time.

You

Yep, you. I wouldn’t be able to continue doing this without your support. Every purchase from an affiliate link (THANK YOU), every like, share, follow, DM, and subscriber gives me the encouragement to keep going. There have been many times where I have shut my laptop and said, “I quit”. Considered deleting social media and taken a break, but here I am. Still here because of you. You stuck with me during the disastrous website issues over the summer, and during the rebrand in August and September. I’m so glad y’all stuck around, you’re the true MVP.

2020 is coming to a close, we’re right around the corner from ringing in 2021 and showing 2020 the door. I’m so excited to see what 2021 has to offer and already thankful for what’s to come. It’s time to keep it moving. I have all the plans and ideas for some new trips, and stadiums to see. Spring Training in Tampa? Oh yeah, that’s definitely happening. Cheers to the remainder of 2020. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.
