Gameday in Nashville is calling your name! I know Nashville is a hot bachelorette party town but it is just as fun for gameday. Actually, probably a little more exciting with a game in there somewhere. I recently traveled to Nashville for the Texans/Titans match up and it did not disappoint. I have rounded up everything you need from where to stay, eat, play and of course Nissan Stadium tips.

avid Hotel in Nashville has everything you need for when you are catching your team on the road. Thanks to IHG, I got to stay at avid Hotel at the airport. Conveniently located within minutes of Nashville International Airport, avid Hotel gives travelers all the essentials needed to make their stay convenient and comfortable. The hotel offers great accommodations and amenities including a place to relax in your room with a big tv, a cozy bed, shower amenities, a 24-hour gym, and breakfast on the go.  The close proximity to the airport makes avid an easy choice for hotel accommodations. I previously shared on IG stories that I made it from my room to my gate at the airport in less than 15 minutes! Albeit it was before 5 am in the morning but still, it was that quick. As always you definitely want to plan accordingly.

Ever wonder what game day looks like for me on the road? Here’s a breakdown of my gameday experience on the road.

Morning Workout

Sometimes I like to get in a workout on gameday morning. With all the food and drinks I consume it’s sometimes best to counteract the dietary damage ahead of time – lol! If you are one who never misses leg day, start your gameday morning with a workout in avid’s 24-hour gym. The gym has everything you need to get your day started on the right foot!

Grab and Go Breakfast

The convenient breakfast in the lobby made grabbing breakfast on the go to explore Nashville super easy. Each morning I grabbed a Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwich and cereal with my coffee. The coffee station is always on and there is also a water filter with still and sparkling water available at all times. There’s also everything you need for hot chocolate! I probably had 6 cups of coffee a day thanks to the coffee bar.

Head to the Stadium to Tailgate and Pregame

Nissan Stadium is a short Uber ride from the hotel. Leave early so you can tailgate and enjoy the pregame experience. Also, while we all have become accustomed to the clear bag policy lifestyle and some have learned how to skate by with a super small crossbody, keep in mind that Nissan Stadium is clear bag only. Keep it clear or put everything in your pocket. While you’re at the stadium, check out Martin’s BBQ Joint  and get it early!

Back Home to Relax and Unwind

End the day with a hot shower and watch the late game or a movie from the comfort of bed. Typically after a long day tailgating and football,  I love to order in take out and watch tv. You can also hit up the little market down in the lobby for all of the late night snacks and drinks. avid Hotel’s beds are super comfortable and cozy. I literally could have stayed in bed on my final day in town, but I had an early flight to catch. Speaking of catching flights, another amenity that I will definitely make use of during my next stay is the shuttle to the airport. It runs beginning at 5 am. Nashville loves it’s football so unless you’re cheering for the other team, grab a rally towel at the team store (and a poncho just in case) and cheer like a champion! Let me know if you head to Nashville for a game because I wanna go with you! Happy Gameday, everyone!
