Summer is here and I would like to be a little adventurous in my city. If you don’t know I live in the Houston area and I want to see the city again. I feel like I haven’t explored Houston in quite a bit so I want to get out and see what Houston has to offer. Here is a list of things I’d like to do in the Houston area in the months of June – September.

Kayaking in Buffalo Bayou – This has been on my bucket list for years and I’ve yet to do it so here it is again. At the top of the list.

Concert at Cynthia Mitchell Woods – I love concerts. I’ve missed concerts. One of my favorite bands is Dave Matthews Band. Yes, I know, I’m old. DMB comes to town **Update: Dave Matthews Band was canceled, so the outdoor concert may have to wait.**

Run Memorial Park – I used to do this frequently and I’d like to pick it back up again.

See a show at Miller Outdoor Theater – I love a good picnic with a show. But if you’re native to Houston, you know Miller Outdoor is a staple. A picnic on the lawn at Miller Outdoor sounds perfect. Let’s just hope the weather isn’t too miserable.

Attend a Houston Dynamo Game – Soccer is not my strong suit. My best friend is a girls soccer coach and every time I watch her coach or her team play I’m like was that a good win or a bad win. Like, I’m confused they just chased the ball the whole time. I know, I’m trying to learn and I’m trying to get better. So, if you see me at BBVA looking confused, don’t make fun of me, just tell me what’s happening.

Yes I know this list is short. That’s because I have a lot of travel plans and will be busy with Project Brat in the meantime. This will be a busy summer. But I will make plans for fun along the way. Don’t worry, I will document it all!
