It’s Thursday! Which means its podcast day! It’s a family affair on my second episode as I interview the Haferkamp family.  This awesome family set out one summer on a journey (that would last 5 years) to attend a game in each of the MLB Ballparks.  My chat with Dayna, Steve, Grant and Jack was not only super fun but absolutely heartwarming.

These are all the adorable things that came in my package with the book!  Totally need mini TSB foam fingers…but I digress.

I had the pleasure of getting to read their story earlier this summer and today they’re on my podcast! OK so in their book “Let’s Hit Em All” they chronicle their journey; from autographs to no-hitters.  I have to give a little spoiler alert but they were so smart to include little quick reference guides and charts in some of the chapters.  These guides covered mascot info, theme songs, stadium facts, etc.  I’ll never feel like an out-of-towner at a new ballpark with their guides!

But I think my favorite part about the Haferkamps is not just that they’re true baseball fans but that they get that its more than just the game.  They chose to support different teams on the road and they really embraced the local experience and city.  Let’s just say going to a baseball game with this tribe is high on my bucket list.

You can go out and snag a copy at your local Barnes and Noble or on Amazon.  Plus do not forget to check them out on my podcast at 10PM EST on iTunes!  You can also learn more about their journey here and follow them on social media @mlbjourney.  Trust me its a must have for any sports fan, but especially a baseball fan.
