Take me out to the ball game…or not. \u00a0It’s so hot in Texas that I’m very unmotivated to head out for a game. \u00a0But I miss it. \u00a0I miss the stadium, the beer and, of course, the food. \u00a0When I think of baseball I think of cracker jacks. \u00a0Sure you can buy it almost anywhere but why not try a homemade cracker jacks recipe? I tried a couple and love this one from Add a Pinch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ah it’s the perfect summer snack. \u00a0They’re salty, sweet and literally take you right to the ballpark. \u00a0Ok so I’m sure you’re thinking this is going to be super easy or super hard. \u00a0If you guessed easy, you’re right!<\/p>\n

Ingredients:<\/h4>\n

• 2<\/span> cups<\/span> salted red skinned peanuts<\/span><\/li>\n
• 15<\/span> cups<\/span> popped corn<\/span><\/li>\n
• 1 1\/2<\/span> cups<\/span> packed brown sugar<\/span><\/li>\n
• 6<\/span> tablespoons<\/span> light corn syrup<\/span><\/li>\n
• 1 1\/2<\/span> sticks butter<\/span><\/li>\n
• 1<\/span> teaspoon vanilla<\/span><\/li>\n
• 3\/4<\/span> teaspoons<\/span> baking soda<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

  Preparation:<\/h4>\n

     Preheat oven to 200\u00ba F.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \n
     Place popped corn and peanuts in large bowl. Stir until mixed well.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \n
     Melt brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter in a medium saucepan, slowly boil for 5 minutes.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \n
     Remove from heat and add vanilla and baking soda.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \n
     Pour over popped corn and peanut mixture, stirring until well coated.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \n
     Spread evenly on two large baking sheets.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  7. \n
     Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  8. \n
     Cool and serve!<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
