The K! Kauffman Stadium is one of the oldest ballparks but you wouldn’t know it! Kauffman opened in 1973 and is one of the prettiest stadiums I have been to. Did you know that Hallmark designed the Kansas City Royals’ crown logo? Well, now you do! Logistically, you will need to Uber to the ballpark, unless you rented a car. There are hotels right near the stadium (FYI Chiefs’ Arrowhead stadium is RIGHT next to Kauffman!) but if you want to be in the midst of it all, stay downtown! The ballpark itself is pretty easy. We sat along the first base line and had a great view of everything. There are many concession stands available – I know some ballparks have had limited concessions due to COVID. There is a Dunkin Donuts and pretty much anything you can ever want. I didn’t try anything special – I was stuffed after our pregame at Jack Stack. I did grab a funnel cake at the ballpark! Next time I go back I do want to try the BBQ Pork Fries. I was told to try those and didn’t get to!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
