Bucket List for 2022? I’ve been brainstorming 2022 travel since about October. Yes, my planner first saw the month of March in early October, and I am not ashamed to admit that. I like to call it planning ahead. There are not a ton of things on my bucket list this year, but I do have a few locations that I would absolutely love to cross off this year. These events are in order of the calendar year.
*Note: these are not all of the places I will be going and nothing is set in stone. This is only a list of games/tournaments I wish to attend if I had unlimited everything.*
Spring Training in Florida – This has been on the list for quite some time, and I am hoping that this is the year that I finally get to Tampa for my boys of summer. I would ideally like to follow the Yankees around for a little bit, naturally.
Men’s/Women’s NCAA Final Four – This one is long overdue. In general, I”m ready to get college basketball more prominent on TSB. I love college sports, much more than professional. Eep, I said it.
Yankees/Red Sox in the Bronx – Okay, I have been deprived of Yankee Stadium. I haven’t been since 2019 and for that I have two trips to the Bronx on the schedule. I feel like singing that Frozen song when I arrive, “For the first time in foreverrrrr” and twirl my way into Yankee Stadium.
Women’s and Men’s College World Series – If you know me you know these two have long been on my list. I’m actually making this combo a priority this year. Even if that means some travel may not happen this year. Both CWS are kinda back to back, so this will end up being a long trip with maybe a quickie in between (ahem, New York, I’m looking at you).
Yankees/Cubs in the Bronx – I dunno how I’m gonna get there as this is righttttt in there with the Women’s CWS, but the Yankees and the Cubs are playing each other and I think I’m gonna drag Alayna with me. *Update – it’s already on our calendars and it’s going to happen. My plan so far: WCWS, New York for five days then Omaha for CWS. We’ll see if that’s how it works out. Fingers crossed.
Raiders in Vegas – Any game, any month. Preferably early in the season so I can celebrate my birthday at the same time!
OU/TX – There’s actually four OU games on the schedule I would like to attend. I’m really excited about OU football in 2022 and I kind of want to follow them around this year. I also get some SEC games in there too; scope out the scene a little bit for future reference.
This year I’ve scaled down the travel dreams, lat year was quite expensive, if I must say. I can’t wait to see where I actually end up. Like I said, I really want to focus on that WCWS-NYY-CWS extravaganza. I should come up with a name for it. I keep you posted on whatever that is. Anyway, cheers to 2022, may all the travel dreams come true.
