I can’t believe we are already in the middle of April. This is crazy! I just wanted to share a little note with you all about what’s been going on behind the Instagram feed. The answer is A LOT. Between my full time job as a teacher (yay high school Journalism!) I’m also working on so many additional things like two big projects that will be complete just in time for when the TSB Fall Kickoff will be launching. Uh oh, did I just spoil something? Ignore what I just said *smirk*. Moving on… I am so ready for next week’s official Brat Travel Season 2. LOL Okay, those pandemic travel pieces didn’t really count. I didn’t venture out other than the games. While I did get to do Pandemic Baseball and Pandemic College Football – I didn’t venture out and tour the cities for things to do like in the past – it was more of a what sports was like to a small, socially distanced crowd. Now that cities are *sorta* open, I’ll venture around and show you where to eat, play, sleep, all of it just like before!
Just like any athlete, I need an off season and last year with COVID’s initial shut down of sports, I learned what that Off Season could look like and I realized, I can’t be on 24/7/365. No one can. While social media doesn’t stop, every one should be able to take a break. It’s healthy. It’s necessary. March was was a busy month for TSB and it got me thinking about when I should take a self imposed break – Off Season. When does the Off Season actually happen at The Sports Brat? TSB covers sports year round, and sports don’t stop! So now wet have an Off Season. The Sports Brat will have it’s first ever official Off Season this year. This will include a two week break before the Kick Off that will happen in August. This will give me a chance to regroup before the fun starts with all the tailgates fun you can handle (again I’m spilling the beans – damn!).
Until then, I can’t wait for you to see the new travel spots that are coming your way, with new ball parks, and hopefully a new arena before the end of the NBA season! I’m so ready! Are you?!
