I’m so excited to finally be sharing my road trip to Arkansas with Toyota.  I’m not sure I can explain how pumped I was to receive an email from Toyota asking if I’d be interested in hosting a tailgate at the University of Arkansas as a part of their #ToytotaTailgate campaign.  Football, road trip and tailgating? I’m pretty sure I responded within seconds.  Let’s just say it was an eventful road trip so I’ll start from the beginning.

First things first, Toyota dropped off a new, red, beautiful 4Runner TRD Off-Road edition for me to enjoy for an entire week.  I wanted a 4Runner so bad when I was 16 (and obviously I didn’t get one) so this was a dream come true for me.  I’ve never actually driven a 4Runner so I was super eager to try it out.

I loved it.  The interior was super nice, the system was very user-friendly and I loved sitting up so high!  It reminded me of a truck but with more luxury.  I drove it for a full week in Dallas before we took off for Fayetteville.

So let’s move on to the road trip.  My friend Stephy and I took off Friday around noon for the 5 hour drive.  The ride was comfortable and we only had to stop for gas once!  You’ll see more from our hilarious road trip in the video coming up.

But the entire reason we went was for the tailgate! Toyota gave us all the essentials to throw an epic tailgate for the Arkansas/LSU game.   We showed up around 1 to set up for the festivities in the Gardens, which is a newer tailgate spot on campus.

We set up our tailgate in a prime spot next to some other awesome tailgaters and had such a fun time.  What’s probably the most impressive was that I was able to fit 10 huge balloons (that was an epic fail, more to follow), tons of food, a cooler, luggage and 4 people in the car.  Like WHAT?! That’s some serious room!

So we tried to get balloons to spell out T-O-Y-O-T-A and they looked awesome (in the store) but when we got outside it was a particularly windy and eventually rainy day so the balloons were a disaster but at the very least they were a conversation starter.

As you can tell, our seats were just awful.  I couldn’t see a thing..JK.  Just a little fun fact, you want to sit as close as you can to the 50-yard line and a few rows up, so our seats were perfect.  We cheered, we laughed and most of all we made so many friends from the tailgate that we got to meet up with them at the game!

Without further adieu, here’s a video recap of our excursion.  Enjoy!

Thank you guys for showing up and for coming along with us on our trip! And huge thank you to Toyota for lending me this awesome 4Runner!

Have a great weekend everyone.
