Every year I feel as though we all have the same resolutions, or goals for those of you that don’t resolve. Healthier lifestyles are in my opinion, the number one thing on people’s minds when the new year comes. A fresh start to hit goals out of the park is always tends to hit around January 1. As someone who is the queen of “I will stick to ______” in the new year, I know all about trying to tackle healthy starts and fresh diets. I’m not going to talk about a diet right now, but I can point you in the right direction in making healthier choices easier to attain.
I hate the grocery store. The idea of grocery shopping, and meal prepping every week is exhausting for me to think about. I am not one of those people that has a standing grocery store appointment every week and whips up my weekly meals after. No. I don’t have the time for that. ButcherBox makes my life easier. I have stressed this all over social media and here at TSB since late October. ButcherBox allows for me (and my mom as well) to whip up dinner and not have to think much about the weekly menu. As two busy teachers, with a fridge stocked with fresh meats and seafood of our choice, all we have to do is just make dinner. Nothing to think about! I’ve shared on Instagram how easy it is to sign up for ButcherBox and curate what goes in your box If you haven’t seen it, check it out here! Many subscription boxes out there tend you send you what they think you should have. Not ButcherBox. You get everything you ask for. No surprises. No extras. For around $6/meal, I’m set for the month. I will be honest and tell you in the past three months, I have so much meat still waiting to be cooked, that I could honestly skip my January box. Yes, you can skip a month if you want to, or switch up your delivery date to for your needs. If you are a person that travels frequently and don’t want food to go to waste, skip the month. It’s that easy.
The Big 3
Here are the three things you need to get started on the right foot on your health journey.

Sign up for ButcherBox today and get your choice of free-range organic chicken, 100% grass fed and pasture raised beef, wild caught seafood including salmon, lobster, scallops and more! ALSO, even better, If you sign up today, you’ll get 1 Pork Butt, 2 lbs of grass-fed and grass-finished ground beef, and 3 lbs of bone-in chicken thighs added to your first box for free. Click here to get going!
Glass Meal Containers: I know it’s obvious, but these help the most when meal prepping. Literally, but I’m switching out my plastic meal containers from plastic to glass to be a little more eco-friendly. I just grabbed these from Amazon. When meal prepping, go ahead and dump everything in the containers for the week that way, you don’t have to worry about making your lunch. This has always been a basic step that when I stick to it, I don’t deviate and opt for ordering lunch out or picking up anything from a drive thru!
Meal Tracker: You may not need this but I plan to use one to keep me on track. You can use My Fitness Pal, manually write down your meals. I’m going to try out WeightWatchers’ new app which is also on my resolutions for 2021. That’s another blog post for another day. Stay tuned for that.
How are you tackling your health goals this new year?
