Well I may be biased but I LOVE January. Ok ok it is my birth month but it’s also a clean slate and the start of a new year. It also happens to mean PLAYOFFS in football. Here’s my January sports calendar.

Thursday January 1st:

The Rose Bowl:

The Rose Bowl is always a must watch but this year it is also the first Semi Final game of the College Football Playoffs. Oregon will take on Florida State in Pasadena at 4:30PM EST on ESPN.

The Sugar Bowl:

The second semi final game of the College Football Playoffs will be between Alabama and Ohio State at the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans at 8:30PM EST on ESPN.

Saturday January 3rd – Sunday January 4th:

AFC Wild Card Round:

Saturday, The Baltimore Ravens take on the Pittsburgh Steelers for the Wild Card position in the AFC at 8:15PM EST on NBC. Then on Sunday, the Cincinnati Bengals play the Indianapolis Colts at 1:05PM EST on CBS.

NFC Wild Card Round:

Saturday the Arizona Cardinals play the Carolina Panthers at 4:20PM EST on ESPN and then on Sunday the Detroit Lions take on the Dallas Cowboys at 4:40 PM EST on FOX.

Saturday January 10th – Sunday January 11th:

AFC Division Round:

On Saturday, the New England Patriots will take on either Baltimore/Cincinnati/Indianapolis at 4:35PM EST on NBC. Then on Sunday the Denver Broncos will play either Pittsburgh/Indianapolis/Cincinnati at 4:40PM EST on CBS.

NFC Division Round:

On Saturday the Seattle Seahawks will host either Detroit/Arizona/Carolina at 8:15PM EST on FOX. Then on Sunday, the Green Bay Packers will host either Dallas/Carolina/Arizona at 1:05PM EST on FOX.

Monday January 12th:

National Championship Game:

The National Championship for college football will be on January 12th between the winners of the semi final games played on January 1st. The game is in Arlington, TX at AT&T Stadium. Kick off is at 8:30PM EST on ESPN.

Sunday January 18th:

NFC and AFC Championships Games:

The NFC game is at 3:05 PM EST on FOX and the AFC game is at 6:40PM EST on CBS.

Monday January 19th:

Australian Open:
