Merry Christmas! 2025 was a tough year. My goodness I can’t believe we are literally a week away from welcoming a much-needed new year. New goals, new outlook, new opportunities. 2025, for me personally (and I know many of you), can kick rock in open-toed shoes. I will literally be walking into 2026, looking around, and not touching anything. 2025 was…shake my head.

This year did not go according to plan, but there were some bright moments. I started graduate school (yes, another master’s program), and that has been going fast and furious. Registered for the Dopey Challenge and am almost done with the training cycle. More on that to come. I didn’t get to travel nearly as much as I wanted to for game day; however, I did get to go to Austin for NASCAR at COTA, Kansas City for MLB Opening Day, Oklahoma for Michigan @ OU, and currently I’m in Philadelphia visiting family and taking in a couple of 76ers games. Be on the lookout for my game day guide, Philadelphia Edition, coming later in January.

2026 can only be better. I’m working through my 20 before 40. I’ve already ticked off a few boxes. As you may know I left the classroom in October and started a new job in communications. I’m so excited and have loved the transition. I miss my students but this has definitely been a great move for me personally. Grad school will come to an end in July. I literally have four courses left and will walk in May graduation. Eeek!

For once I have 2026 wide open and will embrace all of the things that come my way. No specific plans have been made, other than that MLB Opening Day will be in a new city. I can’t wait to share where that will be! I feel like a broken record, but – stay tuned!

I hope each and every one of you have had the best holiday season. Cheers to 2026 and Happy Game Day.

Love you all,

Danielle
