Last week I got to host my very first Friendsgiving and have it filmed! Lexi and Kelsie Aziz, the creators of PizzaAndChampagne.com came over and helped me cook and play hostess.  The segment will air Monday on Spectrum Sports in Dallas and you can catch both webisodes here starting on Monday!  But here’s a little teaser:

PS there is a blooper reel you will not want to miss…so you will absolutely want to check it all out next week!

But in the meantime I’m sharing all my hostess secretes from serve ware to decorations to wardrobe.  There was a lot that went into this and I’m sharing it all!

Friendsgiving Tablescape

Tablescape Details:

I wanted to make my Friendsgiving tailgate-ish or watch party appropriate because a lot of people will be watching football on and around Thanksgiving and for the rest of the year.  What I love about TheRoyalStandard.com is that their stuff is chic and not too cheesy.

Let’s start with all their adorable serveware.  I use the football cutting board as a serving platter for cheese or in this case the sausage stuffing balls.  Next up, I used the football nesting bowls to serve mashed potatoes, gravy and the cranberry sauce.  The football field platter is one of my favorites (It’s under $20) and I served the mini green bean casseroles on that!

I can’t forget to mention the table runner!  It’s the perfect way to set a classy football tablescape.

On a non-sports note…I’m obsessed with the punch bowl I have from target.  It’s super cute and holds a lot!

I didn’t have a large serving platter so I stopped into Sur La Table and found that large white platter on sale!  I also grabbed the pinecone and pumpkin candles to keep it fall and Thanksgiving festive – FYI they’re on crazy sale.  You can stock up and save them for next year too.  The berry plants came from Target and I think they’re great through the New Year.

Full disclosure, I had to make a stop the day we shot at Party City to get some balloons for a photo to announce the new website launch and I wasn’t planning on getting anything else but if you’ve ever been in there then you know that I clearly got sucked in and ended up finding A LOT!  I ended up grabbing those super cute popcorn football boxes and putting chips and popcorn in them so people could snack before dinner was served.

And I snagged these fun cupcake toppers that I used on the sausage stuffing balls.  So fun!

The final element of the tablescape is the cake platter.  We served the pumpkin spice donuts on this so make them a little more elegant.  I love this cake platter, I try to bake something every Sunday for the next week’s guests but I even leave the cake platter on my island when its empty its so pretty! (It’s also on sale!!)

That sums it up! Be sure to try out all the recipes, they’re so delish! Also, you can see the full tablescape come together when I release the webisodes Monday here on TSB!
