I’m tipping off your week with probably the cutest recipe I’ve ever seen.  I cannot take credit for coming up with these basketball cookies BUT I am pretty darn impressed with how they turned out.  I actually found this recipe from the Miss Candiquick blog.  And when you find something this good, you give the credit and do your best to recreate it right? If you guys know me at all, I’m a horrific artist.  I can barely draw a stick figure so I’m always impressed when something creative turns out cute!  If I can make these basketball cookies, you can too, trust me.

Normally, I’d say you can swing by the store and make these cookie the same day but if you’re to an avid baker you may need to go above and beyond to get some of these ingredients.  Check out the list below and then I’ll tell you where I snagged some key ingredients for the basketball cookies.

Basketball Cookies Ingredients

  • 6 Tbsp butter, softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Decoration:

  • 1 package Vanilla CANDIQUIK Coating
  • 15 white Reese’s mini p.b. cups
  • Black food pen
  • Basketball sugar toppers

Ok, see I told you there are some unique ones on here and I actually had the hardest time locating mini white Reese’s, what a crime right? Well thankfully I was able to snag them and the candiquick on Amazon.  I used a specialty store for the food pen and sugar basketballs.  You can shop them by clicking on the item below.
